Tionesta Lake Pile Cap Fall Protection Project

Problem
Gregori Construction Inc., a Heavy Highway and Railroad construction company, was contracted by the US Army Corps of Engineers to install 167 linear feet of fall protection atop a sheet pile cap at Tionesta Lake, Pennsylvania. The initial project contract drawings were revised by the Engineer of Record to specify Kee Klamp Fittings in lieu of a traditional welded railing system.

Solution
Gregori Construction contacted Kee Safety immediately to provide a suitable solution using the revised Kee Klamp specification. After receiving the contract drawings and specifics, Kee Safety submitted a Customized Presentation & Quote, including the layout of the proposed solution, which was successfully approved by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The non-welded Kee Klamp system was chosen as it is ideal for field modification in case of unknown obstructions and allowed chain link fabric to be attached easily using ties.
