OSHA-Compliant Rooftop Guardrail Installation at Chromalox Manufacturing Facility

Problem
When Chromalox expanded its Ogden, UT manufacturing campus with a new state-of-the-art facility, OSHA compliance and worker safety were top priorities. The facility’s rooftop houses multiple A/C units requiring regular maintenance, creating exposure at leading edges and stair transitions between roof levels. Chromalox needed a non-penetrating guardrail solution that would safeguard employees without compromising the integrity of their new roof.

Solution
The Kee Safety team remained in close communication throughout the year-long process, providing updated drawings, revised proposals, and ongoing support.
Kee Safety proposed and installed a comprehensive Kee Guard system paired Ladder Kits, ensuring full OSHA-compliant fall protection. The solution was specifically designed to:
* Protect two rooftop leading edges and the interconnecting staircase.
* Provide a non-penetrating guardrail system to preserve the roof warranty.
* Integrate Chromalox’s existing Kee Safety railing inventory from previous projects.
